Night photography field workshops
'' Simply the best all-round astrophotography workshop you can participate in.'' customer review
Senja island is Norway in miniature within the Arctic circle. It is spectacular during the day but at night it turns into a night sky paradise. Its location right in the middle of the auroral oval offers the best aurora viewing opportunities one can imagine, even when the activity is low. Add to that the little light pollution, and you can photograph many other celestial phenomena like the milky way, meteor showers, comets, galaxies and much more in breath-taking arctic scenery.
We offer a six-hour guided photography outdoor workshop. Adrien will guide you to spectacular locations around the island to give you the best night time shooting opportunities. From there you will learn the where to point your camera, the best angles, how to capture the best of your subjects and much more.
Night Lights' Adrien Mauduit is an award-winning photographer and cinematographer with almost 10 years of expertise in many countries like the USA, Canada, Spain, Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Chile, Africa... He is a specialist in aurora and milky way photography. He received the Milky Way chaser of the Year award in 2019. Needless to say you will be in some of the best hands in this field!
